As probably can tell from my nonstop forum postings, I’m a Borderlands freak. Not quite as freaky as the crazied midgets in the game, but it’s getting close. I love the game. Which is all the more impressive given that I was sure the game would not have lived up to my expectations due to all the hype. Luckily it does. But now that I’m on my second play through having beaten the game and found the vault, I’m starting to hanker for some new things to kill. And more loot to find. Looks like my latest drug dealer, Gearbox, heard my calling.[nextpage] So a new download pack comes out on Tuesday Nov 24th on XBLA and PS3, and I’m all over it like gravy on a biscuit. Dr. Ned is opening up a whole new location to explore, complete with new missions, enemies and ...

We had a chance recently to do an exclusive interview with the developers of the indie sensation Trine. I loved the game, as you can tell from my review. With the game being released recently on PSN after a successful outing on the PC, we wanted to know what thoughts Frozenbyte had about bringing the game out on additional platforms, and sequel potential. With the positive reception you been having with the PC and PSN versions of the game, what are your plans on bringing the game to other gaming platforms like XBLA?

I had a darn fun time playing Trine recently on PSN as you could tell from my review, so when the makers of the game just announced that they released a demo for the game, I can finally say you have no excuse not to try it now. The demo includes the first 2 levels of the game, just enough to get you hooked. Best of all, you can play solo or in co-op mode with a buddy. I played through half the game in co-op with my wife, and it was some of the most fun I had in a while, which was quite unexpected. She's such new gamer, that playing anything co-op with her makes me want to stick hot pokers in my eyes. $20 is a big commitment for the the full version of the game, so for all those on the fence due to the price, the demo just might change your perspective. ...

We already know that a Valkyria Chronicles 2 demo is coming out on November 2nd, but what will be in the demo? SEGA has given up some details.[nextpage] The demo will have two modes, one is a training mode that teaches you how to play the game (good luck, its in Japanese) and the other is mission mode that allows us to try out the new ‘multi-area’ battle field system. The demo will not allow saves or let you use the game’s network features (no trying out multiplayer sadly). But on the upside, the demo is small in size, only 80mb, so you can keep your Michael Bolton songs on your PSP! The demo will be up on the Japanese Playstation Store on November 2nd and up on the Valkyria Chronicles 2 website on November 5th. [Source: AndriaSang] ...

I been hearing about Trine for the last couple of months when it was first released on the PC. It’s been making waves in the gaming industry for being a beautifully designed game that featured some innovative gameplay mechanics. Ever since then, I’m waiting and holding tight for the day when it would come out on console. There was good reason why I waited, as the game is a platformer at heart, and such a game really needs to be experienced on a joystick. Finally, after several months of porting, and then several more weeks of false starts and delays, the game is here in PSN. And it’s even better than I expected.[nextpage] In case you haven’t heard about Trine, here’s what makes it stand out. It’s a combination of Little Big Planet + The Lost Vikings ... |
