~Everything you see on the table before you is 100 times more enjoyable than anything on the Wii~
(Yes that comment is a joke, don't get your panties in a twist)
Hopefully some of read our post about the Game Core convention in Philadelphia yesterday, unfortunately we heard about it quite late so no doubt a lot of you had no chance of making it there (just like us).
But fortunately for all of us, one of our readers and writer for the Nomad Junkyard, Barry the Nomad, managed to make his way to the convention centre and bring a quick report back to us with three (very short) videos and TONS of awesome pictures.
After the break there's a brief overview of the show from Barry, the videos and a select few of the photos that Barry took on the day. Everyone loves a story with pictures :o)

I ran over to the convention, making it just in time for the Dreamcast birthday song. What followed was a spontanious Dreamcast console giveaway to the first person who shouted the US release date. We then ate swirl-laden cupcakes.

I shopped about for an hour, picking up some Saturn goods and a Dreamcast game, then joined in on a Crazy Taxi tournament. Five participated, playing on two Dreamcast store kiosks.

Unfortunately they were using burned discs, and the final player's game corrupted causing the landscape to disappear. They had a redo but still lost. I placed second I believe. The winner received some sort of Wiimote, not really a fitting Dreamcast game prize, however all participants received a Dreamcast vinyl sticker.
I hung out for another hour, snapping photos and playing games. Overall SEGA had a strong presence, dominating the tournament schedule and making up for a majority of the items for sale.

Ok, so these two images above are not SEGA-related, but they are definitely cooler than anything you see at any other games convention. The DeLorean from Back to the Future; including the Sports Almanac, Tales from Space comic, personalised number plate and Hover Board! Awesome!
And there's plenty more SEGA and video game photos to be seen on Barry the Nomad's Flickr stream, check them out.
